What is included in the price of the tour?
Please find information about the included services under the description of each tour. The longer tours include activities, accommodation, and all meals.
Is every tour guaranteed to run?
Riding tours will run with any number of riders (1 – 6).
Is airport transfer included?
No, the transfer from and to Porto Airport is paid locally.
How can I book?
You can send us an email , reservasecotura@gmail.com , with your request. We will reply with the relevant booking form, for you to provide us the nessecary information. We will then confirm your booking, and your reservation will be secured by paying a deposit of 30 % of the total amount. 15 days before the ride, the rest of the payment is due.
Do I need to arrange travel insurance?
Yes, it is one of our terms and conditions of booking that you have adequate travel insurance in place. We recommend, that you take out travel insurance before booking your trip, to provide cover for pre-departure cancellation should you have to cancel your trip for an insured reason such as illness or serious accident preventing you from travelling. I have a food allergy. Can this be catered for?
We try to accommodate most food requirements – please advise us of your requirements in the booking form.
Although we endeavor to provide alternative options, it may be difficult in some restaurants to determine if foods are 100% allergen-free. We advise that you take the same precautions that you would take when you eating out at a restaurant in your home country, and perhaps also take some along snacks, that you know are safe.
Are there options for Vegetarian or Vegan meals?
Yes. Please advise us of your requirements at time of booking.
What level of riding experience is recommended?
We have tours for all kinds of riders. Please find further information about the necessary level of riding for each tour.
How many hours of riding per day?
The length of the ride depends of the tour and the day of it. In the description of the longer tours you will find a day by day itinerary.
What is the average group size?
Despite we have more horses, we prefer to make small groups up until 6 riders. We find, that in this way, everybody can enjoy the ride and the nature the most.
What is the pace of riding (slow, varied, fast)?
The pace is varied. We have rocky trails where we will ride slow, and we have grass trails that allow faster rides.
Type of horses and size ranges?
We have Lusitano and Lusitano-cross horses. The Lusitano can be tall, but we generally choose horses between 1,60 and 1,65 m because in the mountain trails, they are most suitable.

Is there a single room supplement if I travel alone?
The price of our tours is set for sharing a twin room. On request it is possible to not share room with another rider at the cost of 50€ pr. night.
Is there a weight limit for riders?
Yes, our weight limit is 85 kg ready to ride.
Does the group dine together?
Yes, all dinners are served for the assembled group of guests.
